Your role with the Company:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead a team in designing and developing electrical power distribution systems for glass manufacturing facilities. You'll drive engineering processes, optimize designs, and ensure projects meet cost, schedule, and quality goals. This role offers the chance to shape best practices, collaborate across disciplines, and take projects from concept to completion.
What you will be doing:
· Perform electrical engineering tasks including design of electrical power distribution and instrumentation/control systems
· Provide engineering and installation cost estimates
· Analyze and select electrical equipment
· Coordinate the preparation of studies, reports, designs, specifications, bills of material, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working/construction drawings
· Work cross functionally within a project team environment, interfacing with and frequently directing the efforts of junior engineers and other design team members
· Manage electrical activities to be on schedule, within budget and to meet all quality requirements
· Maintain electrical component specifications and drawing standards
· Develop approved vendor and material lists for each electrical component
· Provide activity reports as required to the Chief Engineer
· Manage the review of all electrical bids for specification and bill of material compliance prior to final order placement
· Manage final project completion organization of as-built drawings, vendor manuals and drawings and documentation for both client delivery and internal archives
· Provide proper documentation and engineering support during construction, commissioning, and start-up activities
· Work and communicate with other Engineering Discipline Leaders to accurately and efficiently complete projects
· Plan and coordinate equipment inspections and factory acceptance tests prior to shipment to project site
What you will need:
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent glass or steel design and application experience.
· Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to implementation and manage concurrent projects.
· Experience with 480V to 12KV.
· Willing to travel 30 to 40%.
· 10-15+ years’ experience.
