About the Role: The Development RF Engineer is directly responsible for the technological development and management of RF projects. He works in collaboration with wireless signal processing engineers, FW engineers as well as program managers. In his work, he reports directly to the Head of RF Engineering and, together with him, prepares reports for the VP of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Design of high-performance RF/Analog circuits for state-of-the art RF transceiver products such as frequency converters, power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, filters and synthesizers. These products are used in micro and mm wave transceivers for radio backhaul communication applications.
- Verification of the final product and documentation of solutions.
- Cooperation in the system planning of more complex assemblies and systems.
- System Lineup analysis for radio platforms.
- Translate system performance requirements to lower-level RF specifications.
- Follow-up product transition from design to production.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- At least 5 years of experience in RF/Microwave/mm-wave RF Design such as LNA, Mixer, RF VGAs, PA, PLL/VCO, etc. on a module level.
- Finished bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise with simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, Microwave Office.
- Demonstrated expertise with EM simulation tools such as HFSS is highly desirable.
- Ability to create system models of RF devices and components for RF system simulations.
- Lab testing skills to evaluate the prototype unit to the design specification.
- Ability to progress from microwave/mm-wave designs from concept to volume production is required.
- Understanding of complex digital radio modulation schemes and their constraints.
- Experience using linearization/ pre-distortion techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of design yield prediction/ statistical analysis is highly desirable.
- Understanding of cost vs performance trade-offs.
- Ability to work in a team environment with multiple groups and locations with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment.
- Higher level of writing and verbal communication in English.
