Senior Electronics Engineer

The Senior Electronics Engineer will provide support and assistance to the electronic engineering team within the new product development team by conducting performance testing on new & existing products, and assisting in the development of new technology.

The electronics team sit within the NPD function and they are a key unit within the development cycle of new and existing Vax products. The team is involved in developing products from concept to production.

Day to Day role

• Design of electronic systems/solutions for Vax floor care products
• Construction and validation of prototype hardware including full PCB layouts, wiring systems, and BOM
• Design, code, and validation of embedded firmware to support electronic designs
• Analyse & troubleshoot existing / new designs to support pre & postproduction activities

Ideal Experience

Electronic engineering degree and ideally a demonstratable work experience in electronic product design, ideally within a consumer-driven business.

• Demonstratable practical hands-on skills in developing electronic systems
• Significant electronic design experience (analogue / digital) including DFM, DFC & EMC
• Significant Altium Designer expertise, or equivalent.
• Experience of embedded C for ARM Cortex Microcontrollers.
• Computer literate with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
