Description

SciTech Services, Inc. (SciTech) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical support in the design of basic and applied circuit boards. The Senior Electrical Engineer will assist the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command-Chemical Biological Center’s (DEVCOM CBC) Advanced Design and Manufacturing Division. SciTech is looking for a candidate who possesses a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on autonomous robotics systems, sensor integration, navigation, and control.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design of circuit boards, writing hardware level code, testing/debugging electronics, and integrating CBRN sensors onto unmanned/robotic platforms for use in CBRNE environments.
  • Perform sensor integration, firmware development, custom printed circuit board (PCB) design, debugging and fault analysis, electrical integration, and prototype development. 
  • Serve as subject matter expert in embedded firmware and circuit design.
  • Manage projects, estimate, plan, procure, and analyze assigned project tasks.
  • Design analog and digital circuits.
  • Utilizes SPICE programs such as LTSPICE or Multi-sim.
  • Conduct programming embedded systems and C programming.
  • Work with Linux and Linux terminal commands.
  • Electronics soldering, open-source micro controller (Arduino preferred), electronic diagnostics, low voltage electronic design, basic printed circuit board (PCB) design.
  • Independently develop and design unique solutions.
  • Derive technical requirements from discussions with the customer.
  • Provide briefings and speak to groups of people.


Requirements
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.    
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years of electrical, electromechanical, or mechatronics experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense experience.
  • Expert in radio communication systems.
  • Must be able to communicate and represent DEVCOM and the customer in a professional manner in front of all levels of U.S. Army personnel and Department of the Army Civilians.
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance.
  • Work is performed in close quarters in a five person fast moving nimble team.
  • Thrive professionally in an ambiguous environment.
  • Requires CONUS and OCONUS travel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstration of strong team player attributes.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
