SUMMARY: As the RF Engineering Director, you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation RF technologies, products, and systems that will drive the future of Spectrum's European subsidiary. You will lead, nurture, and evolve a high-performing team of engineers, shaping the strategic direction of RF projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of innovation, quality, and performance. This role requires a visionary leader with a RF engineering expertise and a track record of delivering solutions in fast-paced environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the RF engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Develop and execute the RF engineering strategy, aligned with the company’s broader goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design, simulation, and testing of RF systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, business development, sales, and operations to capture RF opportunities, building on the company's capabilities and product offerings.
  • Drive continuous improvement in RF design processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Stay at the forefront of RF technology trends and advancements, identifying opportunities to incorporate cutting-edge solutions into our products.
  • Mentor and develop the engineering team, building technical expertise and leadership capabilities within the group.
  • Ensure that all RF systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage the RF engineering budget, resource allocation, and project timelines to meet business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in RF engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading successful RF projects from concept to production in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Deep expertise in RF design, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and communication systems and a desire to continue playing a role as an individual contributor on programs, projects, and key R&D activities.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest simulation tools and RF testing equipment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • A visionary mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
