Responsibilities

  • RF System Design: Design and develop RF systems and components, including transmitters, receivers, antennas, and amplifiers, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
  • RF Testing and Optimization: Conduct comprehensive testing, analysis, and optimization of RF systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance meet or exceed requirements.
  • Spectrum Analysis: Perform spectrum analysis and interference mitigation to identify and resolve potential issues affecting RF system performance.
  • RF Simulation and Modeling: Utilize RF simulation and modeling software tools to predict system behavior, analyze performance parameters, and optimize designs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and design specifications to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of RF components into overall system architecture.
  • Research and Development: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in RF engineering, and contribute to ongoing research and development initiatives to enhance product offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
  • This position uploads to ATOLL, encompassing data scrubbing and re-push, Unity updates, Magenta Built updates, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Additionally, it involves generating status reports, attending vendor meetings for updates on builds, and conducting iBwave design reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering with more than 6 years of directly related experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have detailed knowledge of 5G and 4G Standards, Deployment, Test, Optimization and Design
  • Knowledge and experience of Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS).
  • CPI Certification is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience of implementation and testing of 5G mmWave
  • Experience with Huawei M2000, U2000, U2020 Systems, 4G/5G RF Parameters, RF Key Performance Metrics and RF Optimization
  • UMTS experience is a plus
  • Experience with in-building DAS implementation & testing is a plus
  • Must have project lead or project management skills
  • GIS and/or Alteryx experience is a plus
  • Must have exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to successfully lead a project
  • Must be able to write, read, analyze and interpret technical journals and procedures
  • Must be able to support presentation of technical information in various business settings to audiences of varying backgrounds
  • Prior experience in telecommunications engineering activities a plus
  • The ability to development and maintain excellent working relationships with multiples levels within the company and with external contacts including carrier customers, authorized service agents, sales & equipment service representatives, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to customers, whether face to face or on conference calls, and represent the company well
  • Must be able to influence others in acceptance approval and to provide technical clarification
  • The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments
  • The ability to read, write and provide critical technical review and prepare reports, technical manuals, test procedures and technical product repair information
  • Work under very little supervision and guidance to identify and ensure achievement of production team goals and to complete individual work assignments within established time frames
  • The demonstrated ability to solve problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity to search for solutions among learned things
  • Exposed to situations where only broad and general guidelines for solving problems exist
  • Job duties require analysis and judgment of functional practices and daily experiences be used to determine appropriate courses of action
