Project Manager to support daily operations in the Electrical Engineering Project Management department. The project manager must be a self-starter, self-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.Β This role will be based in Dulles, VA.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Development and sustainment of SharePoint repository for project management data
- Development and sustainment of project management command media, tools, and templates
- Development of metrics dashboard for utilization by all levels of employees from individual contributor to executive leadership
- Evaluation of performance data and early identification of performance metrics
In addition, this position will provide growth opportunity as an individual contributor in project management to include:
- Engagement and collaboration with program and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret project needs to effectively meet program milestones.
- Generation of Cost Estimates for proposed work.
- Coordination control account cost and schedule performance through project life cycle.
- Facilitate internal meetings to support design, production, and problem resolution.
- Initiation and maintenance of project subcontracts as well as intra-company work orders in support of project financial and schedule performance.
- Engagement and collaboration with program and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret project needs to effectively meet program milestones.
Basic Qualifications
This position may be filled at a Project Manager or Principal Project Manager level.
Project Manager
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management area and/or STEM with 3 years of applicable experience or Master's with 1 year of applicable experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel with extensive understanding of pivot tables and excel based formulas
- Demonstrated proficiency in SharePoint site development
- Ability to work with cross organizational teams and customers
- Ability to present and communicate to variety of audiences from peers to senior leadership
Principal Project Manager
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management area and/or STEM with 6 years of applicable experience or Master's with 4 years of applicable experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel with extensive understanding of pivot tables and excel based formulas
- Demonstrated proficiency in SharePoint site development
- Ability to work with cross organizational teams and customers
- Ability to present and communicate to variety of audiences from peers to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS project
- Proficiency using Python to generate and concatenate excel data
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVMS) or equivalent
- Strong MS PowerPoint skills
- Experience generating content in Tableau
- Dual Degree in Business and Engineering
- CAPM or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (current)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance per business requirements (US citizenship required)

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
