We currently have an exciting opportunity for a driven Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings market in Malaysia. 
 
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be experienced in the design and specification of electrical services within Buildings but also keen to expand your remit. The Opportunity

• Lead the design of Buildings Electrical Services (LV & ELV): tender, conceptual and detail design stages; contract documentation, authority submissions, contract administration, attending site meetings, for a variety of aviation, institutional, and commercial fit-out projects. 
• Contribute to the technical and competency building of the Electrical team and discipline.
• Providing design calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications. 
• To review contractor’s shop drawing and alternative design proposal. 
• Liaise with other discipline designers to resolve design development. 
• Facilitate the delivery of projects and ensure that technical deliverables are on-time and within budget 
• Play an active role contributing to technical excellence in our Electrical Practice. 
• Opportunity to develop further as a leader and as a subject matter specialist. Lead and mentor graduate/junior engineers. 

About You 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and or related field. 
• 8+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering design within the building services discipline in an engineering consulting firm essential. 
• Working towards professional or chartered engineering status/possess professional engineering accreditations. 
• Understanding of local regulatory and code requirements. 
• Motivated and enthusiastic with a growth mindset. 
• Experience in managing projects; deliverables, project administration, client liaison etc. 
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex issues and concepts clearly, succinctly and with influence. 
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. 
• A strong digital solutions drive with an interest and enthusiasm for sustainability. 
• Commercially astute with good client facing acumen who is open to new ideas and innovation.
