We are currently seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!

 

This position is in charge to research and analyze power converters architectures and topologies as well as new components such as semiconductors, capacitors, magnetics. Provide reports to illustrate and showcase the analysis done and potential use in new products. Support the creation of the proof of concept eventually needed to validate the new architecture/components by defining the necessary verification tests and support the team to carry out the tests.

  

What kind of work will you be doing?

 

  • Research and analyze power converters architectures and new components. 
  • Work actively to crate the proof of concept necessary to validate the new idea following the direction given by the team manager.
  • Define and carry out the verification tests, including both the single components and the complete converter validation.
  • Cooperate with other engineering functions during the definition of the proof-of-concept schedule and for new product specification.
  • Support the testing team for the definition of the test plan and review the test results.
  • Produce technical documentation in line with the process requirements such as drawings, component specification.

 

 What will make you successful?

 

  • Excellent knowledge on power converters topologies and components: Inverters; Rectifier; DC/DC converters and battery charger, isolated converters
  • Excellent use of laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscope, wattmeter, etc.)
  • Excellent planning and communication skills are required.
  • Good team working attitude and communication.
  • Good English language knowledge
