At Dopp, we are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer for an important company in the energy sector in Seville. Integrated in a multidisciplinary group, you will have as main functions and responsibilities the following:
- Design of power converters starting from the idea, simulations, circuit design, prototyping, proof of concept, etc, until having functional products.
- Analyze the specifications to be met by the electronic equipment to be designed.
- Carrying out commissioning tasks of power conversion and control systems for interfacing with storage systems in the laboratory.
- Perform factory and field validation tests of prototype power conversion and control systems.
- Simulations and design of power converter control systems on simulation platform, and subsequent implementation on microcontroller system.
- Specification and design of power hardware according to product requirements: driver, semiconductors, dissipation and cooling, filtering, protections, etc.
- Proof of concept and validation of hardware and software components/functionalities.
- Validation reports and reports.
- Component homologation and product certifications.
- Preparation of instructions and associated documentation.
- Technical project management.
Β Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering.
- Advanced English level.
- Experience in the design of electrical systems and power electronics converters and their control. Knowledge in the design of power electronic equipment regarding semiconductors, capacitors, inductive, protections and air/water cooling systems will be an asset.
- Advanced level in power converter simulations in platforms such as: PSCAD, Digsilent, SPICE.
- Experience in evaluating topologies and power semiconductors for an application based on requirements.
- Knowledge of control theory for power electronics applications is a plus.
- Experience with SiC, GaN semiconductors and driver design is an asset.
- Previous experience in electronics and/or embedded SW product validation, use and automation of laboratory test benches and HIL systems is a plus.
- Previous experience in the commissioning of power converters, and the use and operation of measurement equipment and laboratory instrumentation will be an asset.
- Experience in electronic design and PCB layout would be an asset.
