Position Overview: Gregory Ralph, Architect | GRA Design Studio is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. We provide architectural and design services for commercial and residential projects, focusing on custom design.

Responsibilities:



  • Design and integrate electrical systems for buildings, ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements.

  • Coordinate with architects and other engineers to incorporate electrical designs into overall building plans.

  • Perform calculations and simulations to optimize electrical systems for efficiency and reliability.

  • Prepare specifications, review contractor submissions, and conduct site inspections during construction.

  • Implement energy-efficient practices and sustainable design principles in electrical system designs.

  • Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and address feedback.

  • Ensure designs meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety codes.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and support firm objectives.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for buildings or similar projects.

  • Proficiency in project management software for tracking and managing project progress.

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documentation across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.




Preferred Qualifications (not required):



  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.

  • Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) software such as Revit.
