Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join their team. Oversee the seamless operation of plant facilities by ensuring attendance, troubleshooting issues, coordinating maintenance programs, and fostering strong relationships, all while adhering to safety and compliance standards, optimizing budgets, and leading a collaborative and efficient maintenance team.

Responsibilities:
Ensure prompt, regular, and dependable attendance as an essential function of the job.
Assist Maintenance team members in troubleshooting day-to-day plant problems.
Coordinate plant preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Coordinate technical activities related to construction and equipment modification.
Build strong relationships with manufacturing plant process operators.
Participate in the design of new equipment.
Assure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality codes and standards (PSM, ISO, API, OSHA, NEC, etc.).
Engineer the use of facilities and equipment to maintain plant facilities.
Act as a liaison between management and the workforce, maintaining high levels of employee/employer relationships.
Help develop and operate within an operating budget.
Maintain plant facilities within the established budget.
Troubleshoot plant equipment problems, including vessels, pressure vessels, valves, piping, heat exchangers, extruders, agitators, reactors, gearboxes, pumps, and other plant-related equipment.
Assist Rotating Mechanical Engineer and understand vibration spectra, identifying root causes of vibration issues on rotating equipment.
Participate in the commissioning of new equipment projects.
Coordinate efforts, using approved procedures, for utilizing staff services to assist in the proper maintenance of plant facilities.
Possess knowledge and skills in Reliability Centered Maintenance, PM Optimization, RCA, FMEA, Bad Actor/Defect Elimination, and RCFA.
Work with planners, maintenance technicians, and clerks to ensure proper scheduled workflow.
Supervise contractors, OEMs, and vendors on-site as necessary for safe and quality work.
Troubleshoot plant equipment field problems and determine required corrective action.
Review the design of new plant equipment and provide input for implementation.
Execute responsibilities as appropriate and authorize personnel for maximum efficiency.
Establish and coordinate preventive maintenance activities and repair work in line with plant needs.
Coordinate maintenance team with other departments for analyzing and planning maintenance services.
Work to reduce costs, and improve maintenance quality and efficiency.
Write design requirements for new plant equipment.
Issue engineering design packages for plant equipment and provide monthly reports for MTBF analysis for equipment failures.
Develop and maintain working relationships with other departments.
Participate in personnel staffing interviews and hiring decisions.
Provide leadership to other department personnel.
Foster a participative work environment, encouraging employee involvement and teamwork.
Ensure proper use of safety devices, equipment, and methods during maintenance efforts.
Ensure adequate spare parts availability and quality for facility maintenance.
Participate in management meetings, making recommendations for maintenance operations.
Aid in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and proposing countermeasures for equipment malfunctions.
Participate in administrative and technical programs, including communications, staffing, employee training, employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and cost reductions.
Help maintain an appropriate headcount for the maintenance workforce.
Develop and train employees to attain required objectives.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
Implement and control goals and objectives for the department.
Provide accurate feedback to appropriate management personnel regarding employee relations problems.
Undertake additional assignments as deemed necessary by management.

Required Qualifications:
Must have a BS in Electrical Engineering (or closely similar BS degree) from an ABET-accredited college/university.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Work experience of at least 3 years with ASME, API, OSHA, AWS, and ASNT procedures.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Proven experience in the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Familiarity with and adherence to ASME, API, OSHA, AWS, and ASNT procedures.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Adherence to prompt, regular, and dependable attendance standards.
