Lead Electrical Engineer job(aerospace and defense)
US Citizenship required. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Specifically, this individual will: Work in a team environment on all phases of the systems engineering life cycle for a variety of momentum control products from the design and analysis phase through manufacturing and test, to operational support of deployed systems. The candidate will support systems, controls and electrical design as part of an ongoing development program. They will also support test and must be capable of troubleshooting problems and leading failure investigations. The Individual must be comfortable working on hardware, and directing the work of technicians and other engineers. The candidate should have strong electrical design and analysis skills as well as a strong controls background. The desired candidate should have the ability to perform both dynamic simulations using MATLAB and electrical simulations using PSpice.
