A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer in Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation for exciting projects in the gas, food, and chemical sectors. You will be responsible for technical designs, client advisory, and project coordination from concept to execution, working closely with engineers and industry specialists.
The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing electrical engineering projects from concept to execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role involves designing and reviewing electrical systems, managing project timelines and budgets, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The engineer provides technical leadership, mentors junior engineers, liaises with clients and suppliers, and ensures quality control during commissioning and testing. Additionally, they stay updated on industry advancements and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and project success.
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Automation.
Extensive experience in engineering and project management, preferably in industrial environments. Ideally 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong technical expertise in design, implementation, and coordination.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
