Introduction

We are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team, focusing on Power SystemsProtection, and Power System Analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional eager to learn and develop their skills within a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational knowledge in electrical engineering, a keen interest in power systems, and the enthusiasm to grow in a variety of technical areas, including protection systems and power system analysis.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Development:
    • Work closely with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience in power systems, protection design, and power system analysis.
    • Participate in training and development programs to build technical expertise in electrical protection, power systems, and other relevant fields.
    • Actively engage in learning opportunities and show initiative in expanding knowledge in line with project requirements.
  • Power System Analysis and Protection:
    • Assist in performing basic power system analysis using industry-standard software tools.
    • Support the design, testing, and implementation of protection systems for electrical networks, including substation protection and fault analysis.
    • Contribute to the preparation of protection coordination studies, short-circuit studies, and load flow analysis.
    • Help evaluate the performance of electrical equipment and systems, providing basic analysis and recommendations for improvements.
  • Design and Engineering Support:
    • Assist with the design of power systems, including the selection of components such as switchgear, transformers, and conductors.
    • Support senior engineers in producing technical designs, drawings, and calculations for power systems and protection systems.
    • Help compile technical documentation for project tenders, specifications, and reports.
    • Provide assistance in developing single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and relay coordination.
  • Collaboration and Team Support:
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, to support project delivery and achieve design objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to gather relevant information and ensure project tasks are completed on time.
  • Continuous Improvemnt:
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve designs and processes.
    • Actively seek feedback from senior engineers to improve performance and technical skills.
