The Ottohahn Group is working with a premier nuclear fusion company. We are currently searching for an I&C / Electrical Engineering Manager to join their growing team!

Position Summary:

The I&C / Electrical Engineering Manager will oversee the design, development, procurement, and testing of systems used to control and monitor processes for a fusion facility. This role works as part of a collaborative team that focuses on the design development, testing, and installation of I&C control systems used to monitor and control fusion processes. Positions are direct hire & can be onsite/hybrid or fully remote with minimal travel required.

  • Working knowledge of electrical power distribution for normal and uninterruptible power for commercial level power systems (Low to high voltage 3 phase AC, DC).
  • Oversee the development of digital and analog control systems, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and data acquisition systems (DAQ), by performing reviews of vendor deliverables.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of instrument/electrical cable routing, conduit and raceway design, installation drawings, and loop diagrams.
    • Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and inspire a group of highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced environment.
      • Hire, manage, review, and lead a team of highly skilled I&C/electrical engineers focused on the control systems, instruments, and power supply design.
      • Confidence to make decisions on technical issues and the aptitude to delegate decision making to the responsible engineers.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects/activities, prioritizing them in a way that contributes most to Company success.
      • Oversee the I&C/electrical schedule and budget alongside the Project Management and Finance teams.
      • Direct and open communication style, showing respect to all individuals and their ideas.
      • Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as the nuclear power industry.
      • Maintains the group budget and schedule, maintaining a detailed plan to accurately predict milestones and resource loading.

      Position Requirements:

      • B.S. in Electrical/Electronics, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline
      • 10+ years of I&C Engineering experience
      • Due to export control laws candidates are required to be a U.S Citizen or Permanent resident.
