Title: EMC Electrical Engineer

Location: Kokomo, IN

Overview:

• BS/MS in EE/EET preferred.

• Specialize in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) product design and confirmation testing to assure ECM meets customer EMC requirements. 

o Follow organization Electrical Design process and documentation related to Electromagnetic Compatibility design and confirmation on product hardware. 

o Review product design with product designer for proper EMC design execution (both schematically as well as artwork layout). 

o Create EMC Test Plan defining all customer required tests and test limits. Also document test set-ups for each test. o Design, document, build and check-out necessary input/output test hardware for EMC compliance testing. 

o Define and document necessary EMC software needed to run tests. 

o Schedule tests with EMC Test facility o Perform and support actual testing in EMC Test facility. 

o Review test results provided by EMC Test facility. 

o Be able to troubleshoot design when EMC requirements are not met and offer corrective action to product designer.

Electronic Design engineer with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) skills to lead EMC Compliance of diesel engine and machinery electronic control modules (ECMs or products) to assure they meet customer’s EMC requirements. Would be working with ECM’s design engineer to assure actual product includes necessary EMC design elements for compliance.

Responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult. Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design.
