ITA is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer/Mechanical Engineer/Naval Architect to join the team in Washington, DC supporting the United States Coast Guard. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in shipboard design, software, and systems integration for all shipboard C4ISR and weapons systems.
  • Provide support to troubleshoot system failures or integration issues and planning/management of certifications and provide resolutions to rectify those troubles/failures/issues.
  • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the effort on various engineering support Subcontractors with regard to topology development.
  • Assist the technical lead with the management of the engineering support team.
  • Conduct a technical review of all internally developed technical products.
  • Develop technical statements of work for Obligation Execution Team packages (MIPRs, PRs, etc.).
  • Document design development activities for modifications to USCG systems.
  • Conduct studies and analyses as assigned by the technical lead for the development of internal CG-9321 Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs).
  • Review all externally developed Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)/ECs/TCTOs for technical sufficiency and report discrepancies to the technical lead prior to the Technical Advisory Group review.
  • Conduct ship checks as required for assigned TCTOs.

Qualifications

  • At least ten (10) years demonstrated experience with Government vessel design, construction, and repair with primary focus on marine engineering, machinery control systems, auxiliary systems integration and systems engineering.
  • Experience performing detailed design and analysis in order to evaluate planned engineering changes in support of major shipbuilding acquisition (DHS/USCG Level 1, DoD ACAT I or equivalent) and repair projects.
  • Active Professional Engineer's License in either NAME (Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering) or Mechanical Engineering, and a PM Level II or equivalent certification.
  • Active Secret clearance
