American Energy Storage Innovations, Inc. (AESI) has a full-time opening for an Electronics Engineer in Suzhou, China.

Job Summary:

The Electronics Engineer reports currently to the Vice President, Product Development Engineering who is based in the USA. This position is responsible for planning and designing the layout of circuits for our core battery systems architecture and components using CAD Tools. This individual works closely with the team of developers to create drawings and mock-ups for designs and prototypes for our energy storage products.

This designer role is responsible for all phases of creation and management of the printed circuit design front-to-back process. This includes being responsible for leading or assisting on projects containing multiple PC Boards, using the latest in Cadence software suite of tools, and MCAD models and transfers.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electronic circuits, both analog and digital, including small signal and sensing applications for use in battery energy storage applications. 
• Conduct simulations, prototyping, and testing of electronic designs. 
• Develop and optimize schematics, PCB layouts, ensuring manufacturability and performance. 
• Evaluate, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and components to ensure reliability and performance. 
• Research and integrate new technologies into existing designs to improve efficiency and functionality. 
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and production teams to ensure seamless product development. 
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements. 
• Document designs, test procedures, and technical reports for internal and external use. 
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated with advancements in electronics engineering. 
• Plan and perform the layout of circuits for electronic devices using computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a design role required.
• Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility and shows pride in work performed.
• Demonstrates flexibility in acceptance of assignments and schedules.
• Proficient in CAD software for circuit design (Cadence OrCAD PCB Editor and Altium preferred).
• Strong understanding of PCB design principles, signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with design for PCB manufacturability in a high-volume environment, e.g. IPC standards and guidelines such as IPC 7351.
• Demonstrates knowledge of mixed signal PCB design and ground optimization; High-speed digital and RF PCB design is preferred.
• Must be fluent in English; spoken and written and have strong communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally; up to 15%.
