Job Description
Relevant Experience :- (in Yrs) A minimum B.S. in Electronics Engineering with 4 -5 years of related experience.
Technical/Functional Skills :- Product Design and Development
Experience Required :-
• Deep understanding of Electronics, and combined electro-mechanical methods used for small component manufacturing-
• Previous experience in the processes of Sourcing electronic and electro-mechanical components-subassemblies
• Familiarity with (PPAP or similar) Product qualification practices and documentation, including appropriate Electronics Industry Standards for Quality and Reliability
• Demonstrated experience in practices to choose the best Supplier (base) which achieves highest quality at the lowest cost components-
• Ability to write request for quotes, analyze results and make informed recommendations on best Sourcing which meets Strategic and tactical needs
• Plan Supply Chain (Supplier) development and execute clear requirement setting expectations to/for selected Suppliers,
• Ability to interpret, challenge and direct effective Supplier Performance reviews, which focus on key Metrics of Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Innovation Strategies,
• Interface with Suppliers directly/regularly to ensure key Metric Expectations are being delivered
• Ability to document and maintain Strategic Plans for development of a Robust Supply Chain (Supplier base) for the Category of Electro-Mechanical Products
• Highly skilled in Supplier negotiations tactics, with demonstrated previous performance
• Prior experience and knowledge of cost modeling and design to value principles.
Roles & Responsibilities :-
o RFQ construction, logistics, evaluation and selection processes
o NPV/ROI calculations and decision making practices,
o Electronics Global industry Supply Chain understanding- pricing/Supplier familiarity
Generic Managerial Skills:-
• Excellent communication skills-both written & verbal
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple customer sites and suppliers
• Strong organizational & interpersonal skills
Education :-
• Engineering/Business Degree with 4 + yrs of experience in respective field
• Master’s degree or MBA in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business preferred
• Electronics Industry Supply Chain development background
• Electronics manufacturing development background
• Previous roles as Electronics Industry Engineer or Sourcing professional
