Veriphi is an exciting medical device start-up, whose mission is to help save lives by avoiding intravenous medication error. The company has developed a revolutionary solution to improve medication safety through the verification of intravenous (IV) drugs. By preventing errors and improving governance around medication delivery, Veriphi will not only save lives, but also reduce healthcare costs.
As a member of our team, you will have a hands-on role in driving the design, development, and validation of innovative drug verification solutions.
On a day-to day basis you could be:

Designing a new or improving an existing electronic design
-
Assembling electronic, mechanical, and optical systems and assemblies
-
Debugging assemblies and sub-assemblies to discover issue root cause
-
Conducting testing of the various components and sub-assemblies which make up the overall analyser product
-
Working with your colleagues on continuous improvements to our in-house automated testing capability
-
Liaising with expert third parties – manufacturers, suppliers, consultants
-
Managing the sourcing and purchasing of complex electronic, mechanical and optical components
-
Designing mechanical parts and printing them on our in-house 3D printers
-
Being involved with providing user experience feedback on Veriphi’s product capabilities, features, and solutions
REQUIREMENTS
You will have...
-
Solid experience in electronics theory (digital, analogue), circuit principles, schematic design and board layout
-
Skilled in debugging electronic circuit boards
-
Experience in one or more EDA software tools (Altium, PADS or Cadence).

Have experience in embedded systems, coding & debugging communication channels/protocols like I2C, SPI, etc.
-
Programming of SoC, Flash devices, power controllers and clock devices with image files
-
Highly skilled in soldering (0.5mm pitch connecter, QFN footprint, etc.)

Experience in using high-speed lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)
-
Understand reliability and environmental testing with experience in using temperature chamber, etc.

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-
Attention to detail, and ability to communicate that detail to others
-
Good verbal and written communication skills and able to build effective relationships
-
Microsoft Office Outlook, Word; and Excel to an intermediate level
-
Confidence to speak up with ideas and issues and be a team player
-
Degree or other similar qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar
-
Be entitled to work full time in NZ
