To support our growth, they are actively seeking talented individuals to join their team in a variety of operational, specialist, and technical roles. One such opportunity is the Electronics Engineer position. 

 

As an Electronics Engineer, you will have the chance to design and develop electrical and electronic systems for the production of high speed weaving machinery, contributing to and defining the future of our business.

Electronics Engineer- Responsibilities include:

  • Electronic system design for current and future machinery
  • Build, validate and troubleshoot test PCBs
  • Manage suppliers and part lists, including design change and obsolescence
  • Project manage and support electronic build including outside contractors where appropriate
  • Develop, write and troubleshoot firmware for STM and Arduino microcontrollers
  • Electronic fault finding and machine performance improvement.
  • Research and development of new cutting edge technologies to be implemented within new equipment

Electronics Engineer - Desirables include:

  • Programming in visual studio & STM32Cube IDE ,HAL
  • Degree qualified in electronics, control, automation, Compute Science or similar
  • Demonstrated experience within the design, development, build, commissioning and support of special purpose machinery.
  • PCB and schematics design in KiCAD or similar
  • Design, build, validation and troubleshooting test and production PCBs
  • Writing and troubleshooting firmware
  • Fault finding and repair of electronic components
  • New product development following a Stage Gate or similar process
  • Knowledge and experience of working in an ISO 9001 environment

 

Schedule- Monday-Friday 37 hours per week, early finish Friday
