About the role

We are thrilled to offer multiple exciting opportunities for Electrical Engineers at various levels to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. Whether you’re a Junior, Mid-Level, or Senior Engineer, we have a role for you!

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: 

• Design of electrical and electronic sub-systems to meet system requirements.

• Design of overcurrent and short-circuit protection systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.

• Design of electrical safety systems for protection against electric shock, overvoltage, and lightning.

• Design of ELV and LV wiring systems, including harness drawings and documentation.

• Perform cable and busbar sizing, using current-carrying capacity calculations.

• Ensure all designs meet quality standards and are fit for purpose, considering cost, manufacturability, safety, and serviceability.

• Ensure components and systems are designed for manufacturing (DFM) and serviceability (DFS).

• Contribute to Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) processes.

• Design assurance of electrical systems to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, including electromagnetic compliance (EMC).

• Develop and implement rigorous testing protocols, including functional, performance, and safety testing.

• Generate documentation for testing, certification, and manufacturing support.

• Conduct benchmarking and tear-down analysis of DC fast charging systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and electronic systems.

• Provide strategic input into the product roadmap and technical architecture decisions.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• Power electronics or power systems experience in a product development role 

• Experience developing technical requirements and component level specifications

• System integration and test experience and a high competency with lab equipment

• Managing technical relationships with suppliers of specialised componentry 

• Experience with the complete product creation lifecycle
