Our client in the engineering sector seeks to employ Electrical Engineering Technologist/Technician with verifiable design and construction experience in the design, procurement and contract management of electrical Infrastructure and building services projects. This role is based in Durbanville, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Work on projects in the municipal and private sector in terms of electrical infrastructure and multi- disciplinary building services environments,
• Work from feasibility and concept development stages of projects through to detailed design and project execution,
• Independent management and administrative ability,
• Liaison with Client/Employer, Public Authorities, Project Teams and Executive Managers by attending design and client meetings,
• Competent at compiling cost estimates, bills of quantities, specifications, technical and procurement documentation and reports,
• Project and contract management of electrical infrastructure and building services projects.
• Makes independent decisions by analysing facts and drawing own conclusions in order to solve difficult problems.
• Is responsible for the financial planning for Projects by compiling accurate revenue and capital estimates and budgets, for the project life span.
Bachelor’s degree (BTech) in electrical engineering
A minimum of 5 years working experience in an EPCM environment
Skilled knowledge with design software related to electrical infrastructure and building services projects i.e. Reticmaster, Relux, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, (Revit MEP experience will be beneficial)
Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport
Willing to travel/drive within the Western Cape.
Registration with ECSA as Professional Technologist or Professional Technician Engineering will be an advantage (or eligible for registration)
