Description

Compass Controls Manufacturing partners with OEMs to create tailored printed circuit boards. We collaborate closely with our clients to design electronic solutions from scratch or enhance existing designs for better performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. Specializing in sensor design and manufacturing, we deliver custom solutions for almost any application that requires measurement. We are looking for an intern to join our team as we provide hands on, practical experience in electrical engineering within a PCB manufacturing environment.Β 

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge being obtained while completing an Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology degree program.
  • Apply learned knowledge to troubleshoot basic to advanced PCBs, down to the component level.
  • Ability to read and interperate schematics.
  • Use multimeter, osciloscope, and other electronic troubleshooting tools to diagnose, troubleshoot, and verify the performance of electronic circuits and systems.
  • Document all findings of testing and quality issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair multiple test fixtures.
  • Use Excel for reporting purposes and communicate that data and results.
  • Ability to complete soldering duties (forced air and using soldering iron).Β 


Education and/or Experience

2 years completed of an Engineering degree or technical program from an accredited university or school.

Soldering skills preferred.
