Duties and responsibilities

We are looking for talented engineers who has ambitions to take part of leading Vard in the green transition. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of electrical engineers, with unique possibilities to lead interesting and challenging projects from concept to final product – Shipbuilding A to Z. 

  • Provide engineering of functional design and electrical integration of the projects
  • Keep control of all deliveries from own and suppliers design packages
  • Establish and maintain plans and budgets for the projects
  • Participate in concept development, and special projects
  • Participating in developing the department and processes

Senior engineer tasks will include:

  • Involvement in department improvements and process development
  • Participation in special projects and/or system design for new and complex technologies

Qualifications

  • Relevant education and experience
  • Experience from maritime industry is beneficial
  • Knowledge of vessel systems and solutions
  • Good knowledge of English, oral and written
  • Good cultural understanding and effective cross-culture communication

For the senior engineer position we look for:

  • Relevant work experience
  • Experienced in rules and regulations related to ship design and ship building
