Summary:
Responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities.

Responsibilities
- Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data of industrial machinery and equipment design.
- Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
- Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations that affect long-range plant and product engineering planning.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
- Performs cost estimating.
- Troubleshoots equipment.
- Initiates purchase of equipment and maintenance supplies.
- Reports on maintenance and engineering activities to management.
- Significant management and contractor interactions including design, costing, quoting, and executing electrical systems, control systems, and automation upgrades.
- Coordination, support, and installation of various electrical system projects.
- Provide engineering support for projects designed and built both internally and externally.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to assist in the implementation of the company's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
