Description:


We are looking for a Electrical Engineer (PM) that will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects within an organization, from the initial ideation through to completion. Coordinates people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities: 


  • Manage and oversee Data Center projects of various sizes and complexity. 
  • Support RFP and tendering process for all electrical scopes of work. 
  • Manage General Contractors and subcontractors through project construction, commissioning, and closeout. 
  • Manage vendors and coordinate construction activities. 
  • Manage and support the permitting process to obtain power availability and connection of the facility. 
  • Analyze customer design proposals and specifications to determine cost effective solutions. 
  • Ensure professional quality services in all facets of work. 
  • Lead a project team to ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables. 
  • Manage a team to ensure cost effective, safe, and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations. 
  • Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, documentation, and other factors necessary for success. 
  • Work with clients to deliver the end project. 
  • Prepare and review specification and concept reports. 
  • Foster new business development opportunities. 
  • Maintain and grow current business and client relationships. 
  • Provide mentoring to technical staff, assigning duties as required. 
  • Provide quality and cost control during the design and construction process. 
  • Maintain project schedules and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization. 
  • Escalate and identify the need for additional services and fees. 
  • Assist with Shop drawing reviews as required. 
  • Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Electrical engineer with 10+ years of progressive technical experience and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices to analyze distribution systems, design lighting systems, and building specialty systems. Datacenter and MEP experience a plus. 
  • Strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Confident when presenting information and responding to questions from internal and external audiences. 
  • Strong understanding of engineering contractors, suppliers and manufacturers. 
  • Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently. 
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Positive, energetic, and cooperative with customers and internal staff.
