Who We're Looking For:

The candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles, renewable energy, and solar power systems. The role involves design, development, connection, and wiring between the electrical/power components and maintenance of solar power systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.


What You'll Do:


Design and development:

  • Design electrical systems and components of PV installations, including inverters, batteries, wiring, and control systems.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics and diagrams for solar power systems.
  • Conduct simulations and performance analysis of PV systems using specialized software.


Project management:

  • Lead and manage PV system projects from conception to completion.
  • Coordinate with other engineers, contractors, and various engineering disciplines civil and structural mainly to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Prepare project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Store all documentation on the Company’s portal.


Installation and Testing:

  • Remotely assist when needed to oversee the installation of PV systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Assist the field team when needed for the commissioning of PV systems and identify any issues.
  • Assist also when needed for troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to PV installations.


Maintenance and optimization:

  • Assist when needed while field teams are performing maintenance and inspections of PV systems to ensure continued efficiency and reliability.
  • Implement improvements and upgrades to existing PV systems to enhance performance.
  • Monitor when needed on system performance and analyze data to identify trends and optimize operations.


Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all PV systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, including new technologies and best practices.


What You'll Need:


Technical skills:

  • NE in electrical engineering.
  • PE license is a plus.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing photovoltaic systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical design software (AUTOCAD, PVSYST, or similar)
  • Experience with grid-tied and off-grid solar power systems.


Soft skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent Project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.


Certifications:

  • Certification in solar energy and PV systems (NABCEP certification as an example) is a plus.


Work Environment:

  • Hybrid: Office-based and remote. The candidate is to attend office if project performance is impacted or internet connectivity is slow, etc…
  • Meetings are to be attended. Minutes of meetings are to be sent out post-meetings. The format will be shown as onboarding the resource.
