Duties & Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Design and implement: Contribute to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in our mining operations, from power distribution networks to sophisticated control systems.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Become a critical part of our problem-solving team, tackling complex electrical challenges and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted operations. Think of yourself as the electrical superhero of the mine!
Safety First: Champion safety standards and procedures, ensuring that all electrical work is compliant and adheres to the highest industry benchmarks. Safety is our priority, and we need you to be a leader in this area.
Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Mining Engineers, maintenance personnel, and management, to optimize electrical systems and drive innovation.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvements in electrical systems and processes, contributing to increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness. We encourage you to think outside the box (or the switchgear!).
What You'll Bring:
Proven Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the mining industry. They're looking for someone who's seen it all (or at least most of it!).
Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of electrical power systems, distribution networks, control systems, and instrumentation. Bonus points for experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems.
Problem-Solving Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues under pressure. Think MacGyver with a multimeter.
Safety Consciousness: A strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
