Electrical Engineer (Microelectronics Products)

 

We are seeking a talented and driven Electronics Engineer to join our team, ensuring delivery of the highest quality microelectronics for the medical implantable device market.  The role encompasses the entire manufacturing lifecycle and includes interaction with both domestic and international customers on topics including product performance, change management, root cause failure analysis and corrective actions.  The successful candidate will become an expert in the circuits for implantable Cardiac Devices including pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac monitors as well as Neurostimulator implants for pain management. 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Influence the new product introductions to ensure designs meet the company’s high product performance and manufacturability standards.
  • Lead enhancements of MSEI’s digital and physical factory tools to incorporate the latest technology to ensure the highest quality standards continue to be met.
  • Drive the evolution of failure analysis capabilities with an end goal of a fully automated process. 
  • Responsible for root cause analysis of all microelectronic assemblies failing production electrical test in time to meet product shipment schedules.
  • Act as primary technical customer contact, analyzing and addressing root cause for any products that do not meet customer expectations. 
  • Oversee all aspects of product configuration management to enable continuity of supply while maintaining compliance with customer requirements including compliance with regulatory bodies.  

 

Your Profile

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the Company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, network and e-mail systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical circuit analysis.

Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control, design of experiments, structured analysis and design for manufacturability.
  • Experience with automated control of measurement equipment.
  • Ability to create data analysis reporting tools in Business Objects or similar environment.
  • Experience with a medical quality system and ISO 13485.
