The Electrical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of electronic systems related to energetic devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into innovative, reliable, and safe solutions that meet stringent performance and regulatory standards for the armed forces.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for fuse and detonator applications, focusing on both analog and digital circuits.

Testing and Evaluation: Conduct rigorous testing of electrical components and systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with military standards.

Collaboration: Work with mechanical, chemical, and systems engineers to integrate electrical designs into complete systems.

Product Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, safety, and manufacturability.

Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to manufacturing teams, customers, and partners, particularly in troubleshooting and optimization of systems.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all products meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements through rigorous testing and documentation.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in electrical circuit design, particularly for high-voltage or high-power applications.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design, simulation, and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of signal processing, RF technology, and microcontroller-based systems.
- Experience with environmental testing (shock, vibration, thermal) and analysis of electronic systems.
- Familiarity with fuse and detonator design principles and testing methods.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of military standards such as MIL-STD-1316 and MIL-DTL-23659.
- Experience in the defense industry or with high-reliability products.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory requirements in energetic environments.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write technical reports and present results to various stakeholders.
