Position Overview






Riverside Research is seeking a full time Electrical Engineer in the Dayton, OH area. This position will focus on oversight of all aspects of facilities electrical control systems and equipment. This position will join a team of engineers currently supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at WPAFB.  









Responsibilities






  • Provides professional engineering oversight for all the customer’s facility projects by gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design. Is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical engineering
  • Responsible for oversight of the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software
  • Writes electrical specifications and makes electrical diagrams and drawings
  • Tests and troubleshoots various mechanical and electrical systems
  • Provides technical support and instruction to organization members
  • Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects
  • Evaluate code compliance, review proposed layouts, and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans
  • Work cohesively with other engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer’s goals, objectives, and security requirements
  • Manage/support/coordinate programming, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of facilities 
  • Other responsibilities include:
    • Project Management & Project Schedules
    • Design Reviews / Drawings, Specifications, Analysis, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Requirements Gathering and Documentation
    • Concept Creation / Space and Layout Planning
    • Code / Standards / Regulations Interpretation

Other duties as assigned









Qualifications






  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering 
  • Min 4 years electrical engineering experience
  • CAD experience
  • Must be able to work in a fast -paced environment and adapt to challenging situations as they occur

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge (including mechanical systems) a plus
  • Performs a range of special projects related Electrical Engineering project management

$105,000- $140,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
