Delta Systems & Automation LLC seeks Electrical Engineers to join our team.

 

In this role, you will design and develop computer software relating to automated packaging equipment for the packaging machinery industry. You will participate in the software design process from beginning to end for packaging machinery systems. You will demonstrate the aptitude to communicate issues or problems discovered throughout the equipment design, manufacturing, and installation.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to software development processes
  • Create documentation to identify requirements for software and propose possible solutions
  • Coordinate with design engineers and other staff who have experience and knowledge of specific customer requirements
  • Design and develop computer software for the packaging machinery industry
  • Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas
  • Maintain quality and safety standards are upheld
  • Provide software support for production and manufacturing
  • Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions
  • Provide software guidance and troubleshooting for checkout and debug procedures, customer acceptance trials, and R&D projects
  • Provide software support on customer installations and customer phone support
  • Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required
  • Experience with pneumatics, servo motors, and electronic instrumentation is desired
  • Minimum of two years of related engineering experience
  • Prior experience in the food processing and packaging industry is preferred
  • Experience with EPLAN software is a plus

Physical Demands: 

  • This position will frequently be working on equipment with potential hazards. Appropriate safety equipment and practices are required
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds and occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • The position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to rent a car & travel worldwide
  • Valid or the ability to obtain an unrestricted passport
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally, including weekend and off-shift times.
  • Flexible work schedule

 

This is a full-time position at our climate-controlled facility. The hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday; some travel will be required.

 

Salary will be commensurate based on qualifications, experience, and existing skill set.
