TITLE: Electrical Engineer

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To support the plant operations through design, build, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all electrical systems throughout the plant.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering field or significant work experience in field
  • Familiar with drive and PLC operational theory, with past knowledge of power distribution and/or PC network experience
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good administrative skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Familiar with AutoCAD software is a plus
  • Experience with SIEMENS PLC (S-5, S-7), SIEMENS AC & DC Drives is a plus
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC (Contrologix Studio 5000) is a plus
  • Experience with Ethernet & Profibus Network communication is a plus
  • Experience with HMI programming is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of automated process machinery and controls is a plus
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical guidance and planning to maintenance electricians for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting production equipment
  • Prepare specifications and documentation for equipment upgrades and modification based on cost benefit analysis and machine efficiency
  • Keep and organize accurate records associated with projects
  • Available for 24-hour consultation to maintenance electricians for equipment abnormalities
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by maintenance director
  • Comply with plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • Inside and outside environments apply
  • Manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Subject to noise
