Electrical Engineer/Designer

The ideal candidate will have experience designing power/lighting/low voltage systems for commercial, retail, and residential structures and be proficient in AutoCAD.

Revit MEP experience is preferred but not required. Compensation is competitive and will vary depending upon applicant's skill level.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Designing electrical systems for a variety of structures from start to finish
• Performing field surveys on existing structures
• Responding to RFIs and permit comments
• Coordinating with mechanical discipline for a cohesive drawing package
• Work with designers and engineers to create construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Read, understand and draft design instructions provided by the engineering team.
• Revise and modify existing projects based on new information or permit comments.
• Learn and fine tune drafting skills based on the JLC CAD standards.
• Work with a positive attitude and open mind.
• Maintain safe and clean working area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Experience in REVIT
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule, meet deadline and work under pressure
• Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently or in small groups
