Electrical Engineer - Building Systems Design

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and design concepts tailored to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with overall project designs.
  • Review drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards, NEC, building codes, and design intent.
  • Design and implement systems for solar energy, power distribution, electrical schematics and controls, lighting, grounding, communication, fire, and security.
  • Perform cost estimates, feasibility studies, and economic analyses to inform project decisions.
  • Conduct construction administration tasks, including site inspections and contractor coordination, to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in electrical engineering, sustainability, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Occasionally travel for project-related activities, typically for durations of no longer than one week.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or Engineer in Training (EIT) with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in facilities power system design, including solar energy and power distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with REVIT software is highly desirable.
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
  • LEED Certification or Certified Energy Auditor/Manager credentials are a plus.
  • Experience in commissioning and verification processes is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant building codes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
