Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Industry experience? Are you fluent in electrical design techniques?  In this role you will research, design, and develop electrical systems to implement product improvements or design new road maintenance equipment electrical systems.

In This Role You Will Need: 

  •  Electrical knowledge/background in same or like industry (construction equipment) 
  •  Experience in troubleshooting. *Heavy equipment electrical design 
  •  Hands on - ability to work on and design - to "make things work properly." 
  •  SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and Enterprise drafting design software knowledge


In This Role You Will: 

  • Evaluate, analyze and make recommendations on products for cost improvements to improve the competitive position of the company
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes
  • Analyzes, evaluates, sources, and coordinates the procurement of new materials to support model changes
  • Follow SOP practices to procure materials needed to construct prototypes and produces as well as supervises the design engineering of model changes
  • Analyzes test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications.
  • Provides support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer support
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.  SolidWorks and Enterprise and SolidWorks Electrical are standard drafting, design packages and some exposure to these is preferred.  Ability to learn and apply this type of software and develop electrical systems and document them with panel, harness and control schematics.
  • Develop specific LeeBoy electrical system knowledge by working with others, vendors, and some external training, as necessary.  Then use that knowledge in analysis of some of our products.



Requirements

 

What You Need: 

  •  Ability to work onsite at our Lincolnton, NC Manufacturing Facility 
  •  Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering 
  •  6 or more years relevant work experience preferably in a construction equipment/ manufacturing environment/AG, truck mounted hydraulic equipment, and 12-and 24-volt DC control systems. 
  •  Working knowledge of Canbus system design, and troubleshooting. 
  •  Strong electro-hydraulic design and application experience is preferred.
  • Must have hands on experience with panel build, prototyping, wire harness development and system troubleshooting.
