SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

‬‬‬Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyze disaster-impacted electrical systems, identifying required repairs and recovery strategies.
  • Design and develop electrical system solutions to support disaster recovery efforts, ensuring compliance with FEMA standards.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and recovery project plans for electrical systems.
  • Utilize FEMA’s Grants Portal to manage project documentation and maintain transparency.
  • Provide technical expertise for determination memorandums and appeals related to electrical system recovery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive infrastructure recovery strategies.
  • Stay updated on FEMA policies, regulations, and training requirements.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5 years of experience and professional registration or
    • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
  • Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
    • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
    • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
    • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
    • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
    • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
    • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
    • 7117: Site Inspection
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools for analysis and design.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Work onsite in North Carolina.
  • EOD Required.
