Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Aberdeen Dynamics is a full-service motion and control solutions provider with over 50 years of experience. We specialize in fluid power design, hydraulic systems, pneumatic control, and electro-mechanical solutions. Our expertise serves industries like oil and gas, rigging and recovery, power generation, construction, manufacturing, process and pipeline. We are trusted for engineering solutions and are known for designing and fabricating custom hydraulic power units, hydraulic valve actuators, and hydraulic winch packages. 


The job of Electrical Engineer is to create electrical solutions that meet customer expectations and can be built by our Production Department. This includes creating Electrical Schematics, designing to electrical code compliance, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and creating quotation packages in support of Sales opportunities. Assisting with Hydraulic design as needed.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, & Program PLC systems for automation and control applications.
  • Maintain BOM and part information in the ERP system.
  • Create and interpret detailed wiring schematics for electrical systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company safety protocols.
  • Prepare documentation, including technical reports, diagrams, and operation manuals.
  • Train and support technicians and end-users on electrical systems and controls.

Knowledge and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PLC programming, wiring schematics, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block Diagram.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of testing, certification , and marking requirements for instrumentation equipment in electrically classified areas.
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Codes (NEC), standards, and safety practices.
  • Knowledge of NEC, ATEX, IECE & IECEx codes that govern electrical equipment used in explosive environments.
  • Panel design and build experience preferred.
  • Hydraulic system experience a plus.
