About The PositionThe Technology Engineer will insure the quality of new products and processes, implement technology transfer projects, resolve product performance issues and implement cost savings program. This position supports the North American plants by interfacing with plant QTECH engineers and corporate functions such as tire technology engineering applications and purchasing. This position is a technical resource which links technology systems, computer systems and quality systems with manufacturing processes and products. The Technology Engineer is capable of performing tasks with limited guidance.Primary Responsibilities
  • Support plant by interfacing with plant manufacturing, engineering and other internal and external organizations.
  • Ensure product and quality systems integrity.
  • Implement new products and processes and resolve product performance issues.
  • Drive and improve customer satisfaction of products and services through contact with customers.
  • Perform activities that involve reporting, data analysis or special projects related to maintaining/improving the manufacturing process using engineering principles and statistical analysis such as Kepner Tregoe and SPC.
  • Carry out activities that involve facilitating development builds and trials, issuing product, process or material specifications.
Required Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related study.
Desired Skills And Abilities
  • 2 years relevant experience desired.
  • Ability to recognize, coordinate & communicate information in area of expertise.
  • Experience with problem solving techniques such as Kepner Trego, SPC, Longbook, etc.
  • Experience in more than one plant desired.
  • Experience in multiple functions at the plant desired.
  • Listening skills, conducting effective meeting skills & coaching skills.
  • Statistical skills and statistical tracking method knowledge.
  • Analytical skills.
