Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer will utilize their expertise to design electrical systems that align with project owners' visions. This role requires a solid understanding of the consulting engineering process and related contractual documents.


Responsibilities


  • Define the scope of assigned projects and use software to create designs for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and security systems.

  • Ensure system designs meet code compliance and are cost-effective.

  • Prepare and layout BIM drawings, coordinating with other disciplines throughout various phases of project production.

  • Perform construction administration tasks such as site observations, shop drawing reviews, and punch list preparation.

  • Maintain strong business relationships with clients, partners, and various stakeholders.

  • Support and mentor junior designers.


Background Profile


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings (aviation, healthcare, government facilities, etc.).

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.

  • Experience with Revit MEP and other engineering software.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience working with design-build and other construction delivery methods.


Physical Requirements


  • Travel up to 35% for site investigations and client meetings.

  • Occasionally exposed to work conditions such as moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, or loud noises.
