PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, Program, and Troubleshot various automation and motion systems.
• Collaborate with Machine Design to build and automate machinery.
• Estimate costs or submit bids for engineering, construction, or installation projects.
• Available for overnight and international Travel required.
• Oversee automation installations, upgrades and troubleshooting at various plant locations.
• Create and maintain AutoCAD Electrical drawings and other engineering documents.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline required.
• 5 or more years work experience in Automation and Electrical design.
• Proven track record of designing and programing automation systems
• Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• EIT not required but preferred
• Familiar with electrical safety standards and regulations

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES’
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
• Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting various PLCs, SCADA, VFDs and Servo Systems
• Proficiency in “C Like” programming languages (i.e. C, C++, C# Java)
• Hands-on background as an electrician preferred
• Experience programing Delta Tau, Power PMAC, or Turbo PMAC highly preferred
• Experience in low voltage power distribution and PLC control system design including, but not limited to the following: wiring schematics, circuit protection, motor drives, panelboard, transformers, sensors and actuators.
• Knowledgeable of various electrical standards including, but not limited to the following: NEC, NFPA, NFPA70E, UL, ANSI, CSA, IEC, EN.
