Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our team. Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will have a high intellectual curiosity with experience in electrical design. Their experience will be applied to the development and optimization of transformative cancer diagnostic solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enhancing functionality and scalability of the Elephas instruments through technology innovations
- Involved in all aspects of engineering design, evaluation and planning with a focus in electrical engineering
- Writing/editing project specifications and documents
- Adhering to and promoting high standards in testing and integration
- Collaborating with other teams, including biological imaging, cancer biology and engineering

Education/Experience/Skills
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in analogue and digital design of electrical circuits
- Proficient in designing, building and testing electronics used for:
- Servo motor and stepper motor motion and control
- Analogue to digital signal collection
- Experience programming embedded code control software
- Experience building computers, installing custom pc boards and loading software drivers to achieve maximum performance
- Ability to optically align complex laser optical systems
- Ability to design and tune opto-mechanical circuitry to maximize performance characteristics of theoretical calculations
- Familiarity with and the ability to use microscopy instruments
