The Electrical Engineering Department is looking for a dynamic problem solver to work with us in a fast paced, collaborative environment. This role is responsible for executing electrical engineering services such as power system design and industrial control system design for packaged generator sets, biogas digesters, and renewable natural gas upgrading systems.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings such as electrical one-lines, three-lines, control drawings, and panel layout drawings
  • Prepare IO Lists that define what devices are to be connected to a PLC’s inputs & outputs.
  • Prepare BOM’s for electrical designs.
  • Prepare cost estimates for electrical designs.
  • Prepare operations manuals, proposals, and design documentation
  • Responsible for understanding and implementing designs from mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Responsible for adhering to company and client engineering standards and procedures
  • Interact with contractors and customers using verbal and written communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers
  • Excellent writing skills for various documentation
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Focus and concentration to understand complex electrical systems
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Familiar with common components used in industrial control panels
  •  Familiar with the National Electric Code (NEC) 
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred
