Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design in the building services and construction industry
  • Experience with projects in Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and/or Stadiums preferred
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit
  • Familiarity with computational analysis tools for electrical fault analysis and lighting design
  • Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to problem solve and summarize benefits and shortfalls of solutions

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients, architects and other engineers as part of a dedicated team
  • Produce coordinated detailed design drawings, models, specifications, and reports
  • Organize technical and financial proposals for new work
  • Manage workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians
  • Take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions
  • Prepare Technical Specifications
  • Monitor financial performance of jobs
  • Keep senior staff informed of important service/design decisions
  • Mentor junior Electrical Engineers
  • Plan and manage personal workload to meet deadlines
  • Proactively raise concerns regarding workload
  • Actively contribute towards delivering profitable projects

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design
  • Relevant bachelor or masters degree
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification desirable
  • LEED AP accreditation preferred

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
