Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to apply technical expertise in building services systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering, leadership, and project management, with experience in the construction and building services industry.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative electrical solutions while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients, architects, and engineering teams to develop coordinated electrical design solutions.
  • Produce detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, and written reports.
  • Coordinate with utility companies and obtain necessary electrical permit approvals.
  • Organize and develop technical and financial proposals for new projects.
  • Manage and verify the quality of work completed by project engineers and technicians.
  • Take responsibility for conceptual and detailed engineering design.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance of projects and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to local, state, and national building codes.
  • Maintain workload oversight, manage deadlines, and proactively balance resources.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design within the building services and construction industry.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with projects in sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and Stadiums.
  • Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with electrical fault analysis and lighting design software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose multiple solutions to clients.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, including experience presenting technical solutions to high-level stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports for client delivery.
  • Strong leadership and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or in progress).
  • LEED AP accreditation preferred.
