This position is an opportunity to become a member of the I/O Pathfinding team in Guadalajara. You would work on pathfinding projects to enable next generation high-speed I/O technologies such as PCI Express, CXL, and UPI/UXI. These technologies are critical for the success of DataCenter & AI's next server products.
This position will offer many opportunities to collaborate and work across the Intel I/O community and with external industry partners.
A primary objective for this position is to assure that these technologies and methodologies have the highest quality possible for Intel, our customers, and our industry partners.
This position provides opportunities to work on a variety of I/O pathfinding projects contributing to early architectural definition through product launch.
The successful candidate will perform and would be responsible, but not limited to:
- Work in a dynamic team exploring solutions for scaling I/O and interconnect for future platforms and deliver simulation and lab-based proof of concepts.
- Additionally, you would develop new I/O test and specification hardware, methods, tools, feasibility investigations and correlation result back to simulation models for both circuits and channels. These results will feed directly into development of new I/O electrical/logical specifications and hardware for Intel and industry.
This position will provide opportunities to engage with partners in the I/O technical community across Intel.
The role will require frequent presentations and report outs to technical partners and forums.
Development of technical relationships with product design and research teams in the I/O community at Intel will be essential for success.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications, you must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:
- Bachelor´s degree in Electronics engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering or related fields.
- 1+ years of experience working with I/O bench characterization (electrical validation) methods and test equipment for PCI Express and High speed I/O circuit and/or simulation.
- 1+ years of experience working with statistical analysis methods and tools such as DOE and JMP Working with tools, scripting and automation development
- Intermediate to advanced English level.
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Hardware design and layout experience.
- Signal Integrity, Power Integrity and channel modeling experience.
