We are now looking for a colleague to join our team in Zagreb or Rijeka, Croatia as a Data center Electrical Engineer for AMER Infrastructure Solutions Engineering. 


 You will join an interdisciplinary team of technical experts (mechanical, structural, architectural) to bring together schematic design for Data center (Hyperscale, Enterprise, Colocation, Edge, CLS) and Critical Infrastructure facilities.


 This includes applying theoretical knowledge, practical engineering skills, as well as communicational skills in the fields of Clean Energy, AI and Data center design.


 


What you'll do? As a team player, your responsibilities include:



  • Concept design of Data center electrical power systems and architecture, with traditional and AI design requirements, which includes:

    • LV power distribution (low voltage switchgear, uninterruptible power supply systems, busbar systems)

    • MV power distribution systems (medium voltage switchgear and transformers)

    • Auxiliary systems (AC, DC), lightning protection systems, diesel gensets and the rest

    • Electrical load calculations, arc flash, short circuit and protection coordination study calculations and modeling tools

    • Creation of single-line diagrams 


  • Coordination with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, HVAC, controls, fire protection)

  • Understanding of relevant codes and standards for electrical equipment and installations

  • Strong focus on North American Data center market

  • Modular Data center technical solutions and quotations

  • Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents

  • Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions

What makes you successful? Qualifications needed:



  • Education – Master of Electrical Engineering (preferred in Electrical Power Engineering)

  • English language – minimum B2 level

  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical power systems design 

  • Software:

    • AutoCAD, MS Office – required 

    • Knowledge of electrical power and short circuit calculation software is a bonus
