Your mission
In this role, you will be part of our R&D team working on battery management systems (BMS) and power control electronics, enabling us to develop highly integrated, state-of-the-art aerospace battery prototypes.
Your Day-to-Day
  • Substantially support the development of custom battery management hardware and embedded software, highly integrated with all electrical and mechanical aspects of our application.
  • Design and modify analogue and digital electronic circuits based on provided schematics and/or functional and performance requirements from engineering.
  • Simulatselected circuits in Spice or Simulink.
  • Lay out multi-layer prototype printed circuit boards, both based on existing templates and from scratch.
  • Design and conduct lab experiments for prototype verification.
  • Optional: Write and/or modify provided embedded C code for ARM microcontrollers, flash, test and debug electronics hardware and embedded software in the lab.
Your profile
  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering student or similar.
  • PCB schematic and layout design skills and experience with relevant PCB design software (EAGLE, Altium Designer or similar).
  • Basic electronics debugging skills and experience with common lab equipment (soldering, electrical measurements, signal analysis).
  • Experience with ARM microcontrollers, embedded C programming/debugging, CAN/SPI bus analysis a plus.
  • Knowledge of (Li-ion) battery technology a plus.
  • High degree of independence with the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Goal-oriented, driven work style with analytical problem solving skills required.
Why us?

  • subsidized EGYM Wellpass membership: your (mental) health is important for us
  • Work in one of our offices in Munich or Delft. Enjoy the modern Balan Campus in Munich or work close to the innovative Aerospace TU Delft.
  • Boost your professional as well as personal growth executing your own ideas and independent projects.
  • Join our internal social events and retreats (e.g. cooking, game nights, sports).
About us
VÆRIDION is a fast-growing deep tech start-up based in Munich, Germany. Since the restrictions by law on CO2 emissions for domestic and short-haul air travel will stimulate Green Regional Air Mobility, we believe it's our mission to provide an aircraft for Zero emission regional flights.
At VÆRIDION our goal is to develop, build and certify a full electric microliner carrying up to 9 passengers for Short-Haul and Regional Air Mobility by 2030. A full electric microliner is cleaner and cheaper to operate than other aeroplanes in its class, it  provides a better travel experience door to door up to 500 km. We offer new optimized design based on proven principles, around  proven and available technology in electric motors and batteries, that brings lowest risk and shortest route to certification.
